Strengthening land-management intelligence

Floradex is now progressing further through agricultural R&D associated with ADOPT programme.

ADOPT forms part of DEFRA’s Farming Innovation Programme and is delivered in partnership with innovate UK to support farmer-lead trials of new technologies in real farming conditions.

The current Floradex development direction goes beyond basic species recommendations by strengthening:

  • site suitability

  • soil interpretation

  • habitat assessment

  • ecological interactions scoring

  • planting prescription

  • monitoring

This work is particularly important because it brings together biodiversity intelligence and the practical realities of land management.
