PLYMOUTH APIARY NETWORK

POLLENIZE IS CREATING A NETWORK OF RESEARCH BEEHIVES (APIARIES) STOCKED WITH EUROPEAN DARK HONEY BEES.

We get our stock from Mount Edgcumbe Cornish Bee Group the UK’s first Black Bee Reserve, as well as Widdicombes Bees.

This apiary network conserves and extends the local populations of our Native Dark Honey Bee and by hosting one our hives it could contribute to CSR, ESG, and Social Value budgets within organisations. Hosting a beehive can help increase the pollination in the area.

The iconic locations where we keep our colonies of bees help amplify our message of pollinator conservation and engage major Plymouth organisations with our work. Many of our hives have been painted by talented local artists.
